What would a World Cup tournament be without Brazil? Brazil has won the tournament more times than any other country and thus it would be tragic if it weren't represented in our local KC men's recreational World Cup tournament this fall in Olathe. It's hard to know exactly how many people in the KC area have a connection to the South American country, but it's surely enough to field a team.
In fact, one of the staple businesses in the River Market is Taste of Brazil. From their website:
Taste of Brazil was the dream and realization for Marco Rabello and Cristian Maciel, both from Sao Paulo, Brazil. They have lived in Kansas City, MO for over 10 years and have brought to the City Market a unique place to eat and drink where you can find some of the most popular Brazilian specialties!
It is our hope you will stop by for a visit and instantly feel the hospitality of Brazil (known for being the most hospitable country in the world!) while enjoying authentic Brazilian foods and drinks. Our environment is relaxed and friendly and we do our best to make you feel as comfortable as our friends and family do!
Obrigado!
We highly recommend you going and checking out Taste of Brazil. Also, if you or anyone you know has any familial connections to Brazil and would be interested in playing for the Brazilian team in our local men's World Cup tournament this fall, please go here to sign up.
