Not only with this be a recreational club soccer league for the greater Kansas City area, but also we have plans of having a Select World Cup. What is that you ask? Great question!
The Select World Cup will be just like the FIFA World Cup in many ways, only
it'll be played here in the Kansas City area. All are welcome to participate whether you are part of a Select League team or not. Each participant will register with the country of choosing as long as the participant is either originally from that country or has ancestry lineage to that country.
For example, if you were born and lived your whole life in the USA but one or both of your parents are from Honduras than you can register to play for the Honduran team. This can go beyond your parents as well. If grandparents, or great grandparents, for example are from another country, you may also register for that country.
If the country you register for ends up lacking in numbers to have a team, then you will have the option to play for USA or another country in which you may have heritage.
