LENEXA, KS – Lenexa City F.C. is proud to announce that Brayden has been appointed as the first head coach of the club’s women’s team, set to make its debut in the Women’s Elite Soccer League (WESL) in 2026. Brayden, who is currently serving as interim manager for Lenexa City’s men’s team, will officially transition into her new role following the conclusion of the 2025 season.

“I am beyond honored to be named the head coach of Lenexa City F.C.’s Women’s Team,” Brayden said. “The league came together at lightning speed, yet it's already filled with incredible talent and fierce competition. Being part of this journey has been nothing short of rewarding, and I’m excited for what lies ahead for this amazing group of athletes.”

Brayden’s current role with the men’s side has positioned her uniquely for the challenge ahead. Leading a brand-new squad this year, she has helped shape a team from the ground up—an experience that will serve her well as she builds the women’s program from scratch.

“The balance has been a struggle as of right now,” she admitted. “But the men's schedule opens up this summer, and I’ll be able to focus on recruitment and putting together a team to hopefully make this super successful for the women’s side.”

Building a Culture of Unity and Excellence

Brayden’s coaching philosophy centers on growth, integrity, and team-first values.

“We strive to compete at a high level and win games, but our greater success lies in the effort we give, the respect we show, and the growth we achieve—individually and as a team,” she said. “Above all, we play with passion, train with purpose, and carry ourselves with respect.”

Her short-term goal is clear: build a competitive roster and introduce players to what WESL has to offer. But her long-term vision extends far beyond wins and losses.

“I want to create a successful and resilient team, both on and off the field,” Brayden said. “The real achievement will be having a team that plays cohesively and seamlessly together, while also excelling throughout the season.”

A Trailblazer and Role Model

Brayden’s appointment adds to her legacy as one of the few coaches to serve in both men's and women's professional soccer within the same club. It’s a milestone she hopes will inspire others.

“I hope other women can see what I’m doing in the league and feel empowered to believe they can achieve anything,” she said. “My message is this: be confident, and don’t let anyone discourage you—whether you're playing, coaching, or taking on another role in the league.”

Rooted in Community

Brayden is equally committed to growing the team’s connection to the Lenexa community.

“Partnering with local businesses and charities is a key part of our mission,” she said. “Building these relationships is crucial to the success of our organization and securing support for our league. I’m excited to get out there and start fostering these connections.”

A Message to the Future

With an eye toward the inaugural season, Brayden shared her message for players who will soon wear the Lenexa crest:

“If you decide to join us, know that you won’t just be a player – you’ll be a key part of this team’s success. As your coach, I believe every voice matters, and I want each of you to feel heard and valued. Together, we can create something truly impactful.”

Lenexa City F.C. and the Women’s Elite Soccer League are thrilled to welcome Brayden into this historic role as the club lays the foundation for its future success.
