Guinea became the 11th nation to join the Kansas City Association Football Federation this past weekend. They are a newly formed team in the KC area and are quickly building a solid foundation. While they have been playing together for months, their first KCAFF match was yesterday against Haiti (more on that in another story).
Guinea makes the 4th nation to join the local CAF and member that will be featured in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations here in Kansas City, joining Algeria, Gambia and Kenya.
"Guinea is a much-welcomed team to join KCAFF. They are building from the ground up and have a bright future ahead of them. I look forward to seeing them compete in next year's tournament", said KCAFF President Brandon Fisher.
