It was a great day for football and a great first match since the conclusion of the KCAFF World Cup 2022 Olathe. Haiti wore their red kits while Gambia showed off their brand new white kits. World Cup referee Jhonny Reyes was joined by assistants Mohamed Hacini and Tarren Bingham. Estimated supporters totaled over 100 to see Haiti eventually win it 3-2. Haitian player Emmanuel Valere scored all three goals for Haiti while Kawsu and Mo Lamin scored for Gambia.
Each team is gearing up for separate tournaments that are to be played in 2024: Haiti for the KC Gold Cup and Gambia for the KC Africa Cup of Nations.
