The KCAFF (Kansas City Association Football Federations) has announced an important update to the way international team rankings will be calculated starting in December 2024. In an effort to maintain fairness and reward active participation, the new rule states that any international team that does not play at least one match during a calendar year (January to December) will automatically lose 100 points in the World Rankings. This deduction will continue each year the team fails to compete.
In the event that a team's points reach 0.00 or negative, they will be removed from the KCAFF list of international teams. This measure is aimed at ensuring that teams remain active and engaged, preserving the competitive integrity of the rankings.
As of now, the teams in danger of being penalized under this new rule include Germany, the USA, and England, all of which have not participated in any matches within the last year. These teams are strongly encouraged to schedule and play matches to avoid the forthcoming deductions.
For those interested in joining a KCAFF international team, you are invited to register at [https://theselectleague.wixsite.com/kcaff/s](https://theselectleague.wixsite.com/kcaff/s). Alternatively, you can reach out via email at kcaff.contact@gmail.com for any questions.
To join an international team, players must meet one of the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of the country
- Be born in that country
- Have familial heritage linked to that country
No exceptions will be made regarding eligibility.
We look forward to seeing continued participation from our international teams and players. Let’s keep the competition thriving and active as we move forward into 2025!
