In a remarkable turn of events, Nepal has officially become the 13th nation to join the prestigious Kansas City Association Football Federation (KCAFF). This news comes hot on the heels of other recent additions, including Kenya, Guinea, Honduras, and Cameroon, signaling a growing international interest in the KCAFF platform.

The influx of new members follows the captivating KCAFF World Cup 2022 Olathe tournament, where 8 teams from around the world showcased their skills and sportsmanship. The addition of Nepal to the KCAFF roster is a testament to the organization's commitment to fostering global connections through the beautiful game.

Looking forward, KCAFF has exciting plans on the horizon. The federation is set to host the KC Africa Cup of Nations in 2024, providing an opportunity for African nations to compete on an international stage. Additionally, there are discussions about the possibility of a 2024 America's Cup, featuring teams from Haiti, the USA, Honduras, and Brazil, pending the inclusion of more North and South American teams in KCAFF.

KCAFF President Brandon Fisher expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion, stating, "It is really an exciting time for KCAFF. We had a very successful World Cup tournament this past spring, and everything we're doing now is to at least double the size of that tournament for the 2026 KCAFF World Cup. With Kansas City being one of the host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, it should drum up more exposure and interest in KCAFF. Nepal is definitely a welcome addition."

Nepal's entry into KCAFF marks a significant milestone, making it the second Asian country to join the federation, following in the footsteps of India. The move not only strengthens the ties between nations through sport but also opens up new avenues for friendly competitions, confederation tournaments, and, ultimately, the highly anticipated 2026 KCAFF World Cup.
