**Job Description:**

**Overview:**
Lee's Summit Athletic Men's 1st Team is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the role of Assistant Coach. As a volunteer position, this role will play a crucial part in supporting the Men's 1st Team Manager in various coaching responsibilities.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Training Sessions:**
   - Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting training sessions for the Men's 1st Team.
   - Work collaboratively with the Manager to develop and implement effective training drills and strategies.

 

2. **Match Preparation:**
   - Assist in analyzing opponents and developing match strategies.
   - Attend pre-match meetings and contribute insights to enhance team performance.

 

3. **Player Development:**
   - Provide individual coaching and feedback to players to enhance their skills and performance.
   - Collaborate with the Manager in identifying areas for improvement and implementing development plans.

4. **Game Day Support:**
   - Attend all Men's 1st Team matches and actively support the team from the sidelines.
   - Assist in making real-time tactical decisions during matches.

​

5. **Communication:**
   - Maintain open and effective communication with the Manager, players, and other coaching staff.
   - Contribute to team discussions on strategy, performance, and improvements.

​

6. **Player Welfare:**
   - Support the overall well-being of players, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
   - Assist in addressing any player concerns or issues in coordination with the Manager.

​

**Requirements:**

- Passion for soccer and a strong understanding of the game.
- Previous coaching experience preferred but not required (preferably in a similar role).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to attend training sessions and matches regularly.
- Commitment to the development and success of the Men's 1st Team.
