**Job Description:**

**Overview:**
Lee's Summit Athletic is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as the Men's 1st Team Goalkeeper Coach. This is a voluntary position that involves working closely with the Men's 1st Team Manager to enhance the skills and performance of our goalkeepers.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Training Sessions:**
   - Plan and conduct goalkeeper-specific training sessions to improve technical skills, decision-making, and overall performance.
   - Collaborate with the Men's 1st Team Manager to integrate goalkeeper training into the overall team strategy.

​

2. **Player Development:**
   - Identify areas of improvement for individual goalkeepers and provide constructive feedback.
   - Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to enhance the development of goalkeepers within the team.

​

3. **Game Preparation:**
   - Work closely with the Men's 1st Team Manager to analyze upcoming opponents and tailor goalkeeper training accordingly.
   - Attend matches to observe goalkeeper performance and offer in-game guidance when necessary.

 

4. **Communication:**
   - Effectively communicate with goalkeepers, coaching staff, and team management to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to training and game strategy.

 

5. **Player Evaluation:**
   - Assist in the evaluation of goalkeeper talent within the team and contribute to discussions on player selection and development.

 

6. **Knowledge Sharing:**
   - Stay updated on current coaching methodologies and trends related to goalkeeping.
   - Share knowledge and insights with coaching staff to promote continuous learning.

 

**Qualifications:**

- Knowledge of the game and the goalkeeper position.
- Enthusiasm for coaching and developing players.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Men's 1st Team Manager and coaching staff.

 

**Experience:**

- Prior coaching experience is not mandatory but is considered a plus.

 

**Time Commitment:**

- The position requires a commitment to attend training sessions and matches, as well as additional time for planning and preparation.
